The UNI-T UTE9802+ is a compact single-phase digital power meter measuring 3V – 600V / 0.5mA – 20A to 1W – 12kW. It measures in AC, DC and AC+DC true-RMS modes, so a single instrument covers rectified, mixed and DC-bus measurement that an AC-only meter cannot.
It is built for bench and in-rack power measurement on power-supply, converter and appliance-energy work, with RS-232 and RS-485 for datalogging and integration into automated test.
Choosing Your Model — UTE9800+ Series
The UTE9800+ name covers three distinct compact power meters. Compare the full series before selecting:

3V – 600V / 5mA – 20A
The three UTE9800+ models are not a progression — each is a distinct instrument chosen by what you need to measure: mixed-mode true RMS (9802+), limit/alarm testing (9806+), or harmonic and distortion analysis (9811+).
For single-phase high-voltage bench measurement or three-phase work, see the UTE310 Series (600 V / 1000 V single-phase) and the UTE323 Series (3-channel three-phase) — distinct higher-tier instrument lines.

UNI-T UTE9802+ Details
AC / DC / AC+DC True-RMS Measurement
The UTE9802+ measures in three modes — AC, DC and AC+DC true RMS. A single instrument covers an AC line, a DC bus and a rectified or mixed waveform, where an AC-only meter would mis-read the DC and composite cases.
RS-232 / RS-485 Communication
Both RS-232 and RS-485 are standard, with SCPI and Modbus support, for datalogging and integration into multi-drop production-line monitoring or an automated test framework.
Compact Bench / In-Rack Form Factor
The compact chassis fits a test bench or an instrument rack and leaves the front-panel reading clear for V, A, W, PF and frequency at a glance during a measurement run.
Applications
Mixed-Mode Power Measurement
AC, DC and AC+DC true-RMS modes measure rectified outputs, DC bus rails and mixed waveforms on converter and power-supply work where an AC-only meter falls short.
Power-Supply & Converter Bench Test
True power and power factor on SMPS and DC/DC outputs support efficiency and loading measurement at the bench.
Accessories and Family Options
UTE-series test cables and the UTE-M01-US North-American test fixture support safe connection to standard plug loads.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the UTE9802+ differ from the other UTE9800+ models?
Each UTE9800+ model is a distinct instrument: the UTE9802+ adds AC/DC/AC+DC true-RMS modes, the UTE9806+ adds apparent power and limit alarms, and the UTE9811+ adds 50th-order harmonic analysis. They are chosen by measurement need, not as a tier progression.
Does it have a computer interface?
Yes — RS-232 and RS-485 with SCPI and Modbus support, for datalogging and automated test.
Is this a three-phase meter?
No. The UTE9800+ models are single-phase (1P2W). For three-phase measurement, see the UTE323 Series.
