US Cargo Control offers heavy duty Sound Blankets for studios, garages, and rooms used for absorbing noise, compared to other moving blankets. This is used for sound absorption, not as a sound blocking or soundproofing blanket, and has an NRC Rating of 0.35. This recording blanket measures 96 x 80 and weighs 12 pounds, or 144 pounds/dozen (lbs./dz), that works for sound insulation to dampen noise or echo, and reduce vibration caused by traffic or a noisy neighbor. Also known as sound dampening door cover, heavy sound dampening curtains, or acoustic curtains, each blanket contains a thick batting made with 100% recycled cotton. Cotton battings are wrapped in a woven polyester fabric shell for durability and contains eighteen grommets to hang sound absorbing curtains over a wall, window, doorway, or sliding door for temporary use. Each sound curtain is machine washable, wash acoustic blankets sound absorbing in a washing machine on a gentle cycle, then hang to line dry only. Do not machine dry.
