M42 Lens Compatibility Note: This adapter is Type 2 which means it works with M42 lenses that have no aperture control from the aperture ring and require a pin on the rear of lens to be depressed in order to engage the aperture ring. Set your camera to Manual or Aperture Priority for metering. If camera does not release be sure to enable shoot without lens in camera settings. Due to the Nikon Fmount focal flange being longer than the M42 mount, infinity focus will not be possible. Lens orientation will vary from lens to lens.
