Important Purchase Information
1. The main purpose is to improve cartridge-side power delivery. Results depend on the condition of the console, batteries, cartridge, and installed modifications.
2. Solder points may vary between motherboard revisions. Installation instructions must be followed carefully. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
3. The module cannot repair problems caused by defective ROM files, firmware issues, dirty cartridge contacts, damaged cartridge hardware, or unrelated motherboard faults.
INTRODUCTION
Chis MOD GBA Power Boost V1.2 is a cartridge powered boost module for the original Game Boy Advance AGB-001.
Different from simply strengthening the original power supply, this module will establish a new stable power output for the cassette, reducing the dependence of the cassette power supply on the aging power circuit of the original machine, and improving the load capacity and transient response of the card slot power rail.
It is not only suitable for version 02 motherboards with obvious power supply problems, but can also be installed on other versions of GBA motherboards. For flash cards with high power consumption or high power supply stability requirements such as SuperChis Prime and EZ-Flash Air, it can improve problems such as black screens, startup failures, random restarts, abnormal loading, and unstable operation caused by insufficient power supply.
Problems It May Improve
This module may be helpful when:
1. Original cartridges work, but flash cartridges do not.
2. The console shows a black screen with a flash cartridge.
3. SuperChis Prime does not enter its menu.
4. EZ-Flash Air starts or operates inconsistently.
5. The system freezes while loading games.
6. The console randomly resets during use.
7. Flash cartridge problems become worse at high IPS brightness
8. Stability decreases as battery voltage drops.
9. Different flash cartridges behave inconsistently on the same console.
The module is designed to improve power-related compatibility. It is not guaranteed to repair every hardware or software problem.

Recommended F1 Fuse Replacement
For the best results, we recommend inspecting and replacing the motherboard’s F1 fuse when installing the Power Boost module.
An aged F1 fuse may develop increased resistance, causing additional voltage drop when the console is under load. Replacing it with a new fuse of the correct specification can further improve the console’s overall power delivery.
Important Safety Notice
1. Use only the fuse type and rating specified in the installation instructions.
2. Do not bridge or bypass the F1 fuse.
3. Do not replace it with a significantly higher-current fuse.
4. The fuse is an important overcurrent protection component.
5. Check the motherboard for short circuits before replacing the fuse.
