Athena Computer Power Corps APU2ATX35P8 is one of their recently revamped power supplies for IPC use. This server power supply now includes the Active PFC function and is rated at 80PLUS bronze certified efficiency. Equipped with dual 40mm ballbearing fans strategically placed on the rear and front of the power supply to exhaust generated heat from the core of the server/system the APU2ATX35P8, features a smart auto fan controller for heat solutions. This smart auto fan controller will detect heat levels within the server/system and adjust the fan rotation accordingly helping reduce energy use and noise levels. Maintaining their policy of True Green Power Athena Power has brought efficiency to their 2U server line.Active PFC and Full Range InputThe Active PFC (Power Factor Correction) and full range input function provides a smarter PSU. Able to detect the difference of wattage that is needed to power up your system, you can be rest assured as it will provide and maintain the most suitable power needed.Dual FanWith its dual fan features located at the front and back of the power supply, the rear fan intakes the heat that is produced inside the server or system and pushes it through the front fan. The design allows the power supply to be able to take 100% of the heat that is generated by the interior system and pushes it out of the server/system. While some other PSU fans work differently, this dual fan design is targeted to maintain a reliable source of power and keeping the system cool. Some may second guess this dual fan feature because it will increase noise volumes, but with its thermal fan speed controller it will detect the amount of heat generated by the server/system and spin accordingly.
