The Aiphone IEH-1CD Chime Tone intercom system sub-master handset enables a door intercom system to extend its call answering capabilities into multiple rooms or over a large area. The sub-master handset connects to an Aiphone IE-1GD or IE-2AD master handset to link into the door answering system. Visitor calls activate a chime and LED indicator in both the master and sub-master handsets and can be transferred between handsets. The door release button works with an electric strike (sold separately) to remotely unlock the entrance for the visitor. The sub-master handset can send and receive calls from the master handset for internal communication.Door intercom systems allow an occupant of a building to communicate remotely with a visitor through at least one door intercom and master intercom.
