The XD lenses are ED glass that contains fluorite crystal and provide fantastic light transmission, ensuring an image with edge-to-edge sharpness and virtually zero chromatic aberration. The BD II XD series uses a magnesium alloy chassis that produces the feel and strength of metal with the benefit of decreased weight. Rubber armoring surrounds the body and provides a comfortable grip while providing further durability. All BD II XDs are fully waterproof and are dry nitrogen filled to prevent fogging.
