New Air Compressor Unloader Pilot Valve, Made In The Usa. This Valve Is Used To Operate A Compressed Air System At A Constant Run With A Preset Pressure Operating Range To Actuate Throttle Controls, Intake Unloaders Or Air Actuated Discharge Valves. The Valves Preset Operating Range Is 125-150 Psi, It Has 1/4'' Male Npt Threads That Would Be Used For Air Hook-Up Or Screwed Into The Air Compressor Tank And Has 1/8'' Female Npt Threads On The Side Of The Valve As Shown In The Picture Which Is The Port Used To Control A Throttle Valve Or Cable, Intake Unloaders Or Discharge Valves. If More Than One Outlet Is Needed It Is Common To Use A ''Tee'' To Make Multiple Ports Which Can Be Purchased At A Local Hardware Store. This Valves Preset Pressure Can Be Adjusted, Below The Manual Unloader Lever On The Top Of The Valve There Are Two Screw Settings That Can Be Adjusted There Are Lock-Nuts Holding Each One In Place The Bottom One Which Is Larger Than The Top One ''You Do Not Want To Adjust'' It Controls The Valve Itself, The Top One Which Is The Smaller One Right Below The Manual Lift Lever Controls The Pressure Setting, When Screwed In It Will Increase Both Cut In And Cut Out Pressure And When Screwed Out It Will Decrease Both Cut In And Cut Out Pressure, It Is Not Recommended To Be Adjusted More Than About 15 Psi In Either Direction. Also The Aluminum Lift Lever On The Top Of The Valve Is A Manual Unloader / Control Lever. If Lifted In Straight Up Position It Opens The Valve And Puts Pressure To The Throttle Control, Head Unloaders Or Discharge Valve. Click On The Technical Specs Tab For More Information.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the pressure range of this air compressor pilot valve?A: The pressure range is one hundred twenty-five to one hundred fifty PSI. This allows for precise control in compressed air systems.
Q: What materials is the air compressor unloader control valve made of?A: The valve features all brass construction with an aluminum lift lever. This combination ensures durability and reliability.
Q: What are the thread sizes on this pilot control valve?A: The valve has one fourth inch male NPT threads and one eighth inch female NPT threads. These sizes are standard for air compressor applications.
Q: How do I install the air compressor unloader control valve?A: To install, screw the one fourth inch male NPT threads into the air compressor tank. Use the one eighth inch female NPT port to connect to throttle controls or unloaders.
Q: Can I adjust the pressure settings on this valve?A: Yes, the pressure settings can be adjusted. There are two screws for adjustment, but it is recommended not to exceed fifteen PSI in either direction.
Q: How does the manual unloader control lever work?A: The manual unloader control lever opens the valve when lifted straight up. This allows pressure to be directed to throttle controls or discharge valves.
Q: What is the recommended way to clean this air compressor valve?A: To clean the valve, use a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive materials to maintain the integrity of the valve's surfaces.
Q: Is the air compressor pilot valve safe to use?A: Yes, it is safe to use when installed correctly. Always follow manufacturer guidelines for installation and pressure adjustments.
Q: How should I store the air compressor unloader control valve?A: Store the valve in a dry, cool place to prevent corrosion. Ensure it is protected from excessive moisture and extreme temperatures.
Q: Are there any common issues with the air compressor pilot valve?A: Common issues include improper pressure settings and leaks at the connections. Regular checks can help identify and resolve these problems early.
Q: What should I do if my valve arrives damaged?A: If the valve arrives damaged, contact customer support immediately for assistance with returns or exchanges. Keep all packaging materials for reference.
Q: Can I use this valve with different types of compressors?A: Yes, this valve is compatible with various air compressor types, provided they use standard NPT connections. Ensure the pressure specifications match your system.
Q: Is there a warranty for this air compressor pilot valve?A: Yes, there is typically a warranty offered by the manufacturer. Check the product details for specific warranty information and duration.
Q: What is the purpose of the unloader pilot valve?A: The unloader pilot valve regulates the operation of compressed air systems at a preset pressure. It ensures consistent performance and prevents over-pressurization.
Q: Can I purchase additional parts for this air compressor valve?A: Yes, additional parts like tees for multiple outlets can be purchased at local hardware stores. Ensure compatibility with your existing setup.
